Free printable Christmas bingo cards with calling cards for family and classroom games

Christmas bingo is one of those games that works for everyone at once: toddlers sitting on a lap, kids who can just about read, and grandparents who secretly want to win. All you need is a printer, a bowl of candy for markers and someone willing to call out the words.

These free printable Christmas bingo cards include 10 unique cards and a page of 32 calling cards, so you can play with up to ten people straight away.

What’s inside the Christmas bingo printable

  • A cover page with simple rules, handy to keep next to the caller.
  • 10 unique bingo cards, two per page. No two cards are the same, so there’s always a clear winner.
  • 32 calling cards on one page, to cut apart and draw from a bowl or a hat.
  • A free space with a gold star in the center of every card.

The bingo cards

Two printable Christmas bingo cards
Each page holds two cards in red and green.

Each card is a classic 5 × 5 grid with a red and green B-I-N-G-O header. The squares use easy holiday words like Santa, Reindeer, Snowman, Hot Cocoa, Candy Cane, Gingerbread and Mittens, set in big, bold type that’s easy to read from across a table.

The calling cards

Cut along the dashed lines, fold each card in half and drop them into a bowl. Draw one at a time and read it out loud. Keep the called cards in a pile so you can check a winning card at the end.

How to play Christmas bingo

Christmas bingo rules on the cover page
The rules are printed on the cover page too.
  1. Give each player a card and a handful of markers: candies, buttons, dried beans or small pieces of paper.
  2. Cut out the calling cards, fold them and put them in a bowl or a hat.
  3. The caller draws one card at a time and reads it out loud.
  4. Players cover that word if it appears on their card. The center star is a free space, so cover it at the start.
  5. The first player with five in a row (across, down or diagonally) shouts BINGO! The caller checks the card against the called words.

Fun variations

  • Four corners: the winner must cover all four corners of the card.
  • Blackout: keep playing until someone covers every square. Great for a longer game.
  • Letter X: both diagonals must be covered.
  • Picture it: for little ones who can’t read yet, the caller can act out each word (“a cold man made of snow!”).
  • Sweet markers: use chocolate chips or mini marshmallows and let players eat their markers after each round.

How to print your bingo cards

  1. Download the PDF and open it in a PDF reader.
  2. Print at “Actual size” or 100%. On A4, choose “Fit to printable area”.
  3. Use cardstock for the bingo cards if you’d like to reuse them every year, and plain paper for the calling cards.
  4. Cut each page in half to separate the two cards.

Want to reuse the cards? Slip them into clear sheet protectors and use dry-erase markers or coins as markers.

When to play Christmas bingo

  • Class parties in the last week before winter break.
  • Family gatherings on Christmas Eve or Christmas afternoon.
  • Office parties, with small wrapped prizes for each winner.
  • Church, scout and community events where you need a game that works for all ages.
  • Senior living activities: large print and simple words make it easy to follow.

A few notes from me

I made sure every card is different, because nothing ends a game faster than two people shouting bingo on the same word. I also kept the words short and familiar, so younger players can join in without much help.

My tip: let the youngest player be the caller for the first round. Kids love being in charge of the bowl.
